A client's visit

  1. Booked

    Online, by phone or at the desk. A confirmation goes out, and a reminder the day before.

  2. Arrived

    Checked in at the desk. Their notes, colour history and patch test are a tap away.

  3. In the chair

    The diary shows who's with whom, and who's running over.

  4. Finished

    Products added to the bill at the chair, with a photo so nobody picks the wrong one.

  5. Paid

    On the card machine or in cash, with a tip for their stylist and a receipt printed or emailed.

  6. Rebooked

    Next visit booked before they leave, and aftercare in their inbox by the evening.

What's in it

Built for a busy floor, a full column of stylists and a front desk that never stops.

The diary and your team

  • A column for every stylist, by day, three days, week or list. Each person's view is remembered.
  • Their day on their phone: next client up, gaps, and a quick way to book.
  • At a glance: paid, still to pay, deposit, card on file, new client.
  • Working hours and roles for owners, managers, reception and stylists, with each stylist's own prices.
  • More than one salon? Each site with its own hours and team.

Colour, done properly

  • Patch tests recorded with the date and result, and flagged when a service needs one, online and in the diary.
  • Colour records with the formula, so anyone can pick up where the last stylist left off.
  • Consent forms filled in on the client's phone before they arrive.
  • Aftercare emails for each service, and a follow-up a few weeks later to bring them back.

At the desk

  • Card machines: send the amount from the booking to a Stripe or SumUp reader, tips included.
  • Receipt printers and cash drawer: Star printers print by themselves and open the drawer for cash.
  • Takings for the day, by payment type and by stylist, with tips, ready for cashing up.
  • Loyalty and promotions you switch on and off when you like.

No-shows

An empty chair costs money. Now it doesn't have to.

  • Deposits taken by card when clients book online, paid straight into your own Stripe account and taken off the bill on the day.
  • A card on file for new clients or everyone. Nothing's taken; they agree to your policy when they book.
  • Phone bookings too: email them a link to leave a card, or text it.
  • A no-show or a late cancellation? A manager charges your fee from the booking, in one tap. Your call, never automatic.
  • Cancel in time and their deposit's refunded by itself.

Sell more than the appointment.

Products are where the margin is. SessionSpark puts them on the bill, in an online shop, and in front of you in the numbers.

  • Products and stock: scan the barcode, add it to the booking, and it comes off the shelf. Deliveries, counts and low-stock warnings.
  • An online shop on your booking page, in your colours. Clients pay by card and collect from you, with an email when it's ready.
  • Your stylists' picks at the front, with photos and a few words from you.
  • Retail in the analysis: how many visits leave with a product, top sellers, who sells most, what sells after which service, and what needs reordering.
